Bob Sawyer

Bob joined Maiden in 1976, having previously played alongside Dennis Willcock in Nitro.

It is widely considered that Bob wrote the Maiden hit "Sanctuary", later selling it for £200, which it has been claimed, he spent on a new stereo system.

He was later a member of NWOBHM legends Praying Mantis, who also went on to feature former Maiden-members, Paul Di'Anno, Clive Burr, and Dennis Stratton.

Bob currently records under the name Rob Angelo, and can often be seen with his band Firebird Seven.
